Ordering & payment
Which payment methods can I use?
UPI and cash on delivery. UPI runs through our gateway partner MMADPay and works with any UPI app — Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or your bank’s own app. Cash on delivery carries no extra fee; you pay the courier the same total shown at checkout.
Do the prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this site is inclusive of GST at 5%, and the checkout shows the tax component separately so you can see the split before you pay. A tax invoice with the full breakdown is emailed with your confirmation and enclosed with the parcel.
Is the amount at checkout the final amount?
Yes. The total payable shown on the checkout page is all-inclusive — product price, GST and shipping. Shipping is free on every order and there is no handling, packaging or convenience charge added at the last step.
My UPI payment failed. Has money left my account?
Failed UPI attempts are not debited; where a bank holds an amount briefly it is auto-reversed, normally within 24 hours and in all cases within 5–7 business days. Your order stays saved as unpaid, so you can retry from a different UPI app or switch to cash on delivery. If a debit does not reverse, send us the UPI reference number and we will chase it with the gateway.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Yes, as long as it has not been handed to the courier — normally a window of about 24 hours. Email support@xlvero.com with your order reference. Once it has shipped, it has to be handled as a return after delivery.
Do I need an account to order?
No — you can check out as a guest with just your name, address and mobile number, and track the order with the reference from your confirmation email. An account is worth having if you order more than once: it saves your addresses so checkout becomes a single tap, keeps every order in one place and lets you hold a wishlist across devices. You can create one in about thirty seconds, before or after ordering.
Shipping & delivery
How long will my order take?
We hand orders to the courier within 24 hours of confirmation. From dispatch:
| Destination | Working days |
|---|---|
| Metro and Tier-1 cities | 3–5 |
| Other cities and towns | 5–7 |
| Remote and north-eastern PIN codes | 7–9 |
What does shipping cost?
Nothing. Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum basket value and no surcharge for bulky items such as jackets, blazers or multi-piece co-ord sets.
Do you deliver to my PIN code?
We deliver to every PIN code our logistics partners serve, which covers almost all of India. Enter your PIN code at checkout and it is checked against the state you selected before the order is accepted — you are told straight away if something does not match. If a courier later reports your address as unserviceable we cancel and refund in full.
How are the clothes packed?
Each garment is folded, sealed in an individual polybag against damp, and sent in a tamper-evident courier mailer. Shirts and blazers are folded on their seams so the creases fall out on the first hang; a light press is usually all a shirt needs after a long trip. Tags stay attached, because a garment has to have its tags on to be exchanged.
How do I track the parcel?
Use the track order page with your order reference. Once the courier scans the parcel, the AWB number and a direct tracking link appear there, usually within 24 hours of dispatch.
What if the parcel arrives damaged or opened?
Refuse the delivery if the mailer is torn, wet or has clearly been opened. If you only notice a problem after opening, photograph the mailer and the garment and email us within 48 hours of delivery — we send a replacement or a full refund, and we arrange the pickup at our cost.
Returns & refunds
What is the return window?
Seven days from delivery. The garment must be unworn and unwashed with all tags still attached, in the condition it arrived. Raise it from the refund and cancellation policy page or by email with your order reference.
The size is wrong. Can I just swap it?
Yes — that is what the exchange is for, and it is the most common request we get. Tell us the order reference and the size you actually need. If we have it in stock we reserve it straight away, collect the original from your address and send the replacement out; you are not charged for either leg. Trying a garment on to check the fit does not count as wearing it, so long as the tags are still on.
Can I return something I have worn or washed?
No. For hygiene reasons a garment that has been worn out of the house, washed, altered or had its tags removed cannot be returned or exchanged. Innerwear and socks, where stocked, cannot be returned once the pack is opened. Trying something on indoors to check the fit is fine and is not counted as wear.
Who pays for the return pickup?
We do. Size exchanges, wrong items and anything faulty are collected at our cost from serviceable PIN codes. Change-of-mind returns are free from serviceable PIN codes too; where reverse pickup is unavailable you may courier it back and we reimburse standard courier charges against the receipt.
When does the refund reach me?
We inspect the returned item within 48 hours of receiving it and release the refund the same day it passes. UPI and card refunds reach the original payment method in 7–10 business days. Cash-on-delivery orders are refunded by bank transfer to the account details you provide, on the same timeline.
Size & fit
How do I know which size to take?
Do not go by the letter on the label — go by the numbers on the page. Every product lists the measurements of the garment itself, laid flat, not of the body it is meant to fit. The quickest reliable method:
- Take a garment of the same type you already own and like the fit of.
- Lay it flat and measure straight across the chest, seam to seam, just under the armholes. Double that figure.
- Match it against the chest column in the size guide on the product page.
How does men's sizing run?
Men's clothing runs from S to 3XL. These are the garment chest measurements we cut to:
Individual products vary a little by cut — a relaxed overshirt is deliberately roomier than a slim formal shirt at the same nominal size — so always check the figures on the product page itself.
| Size | Chest (in) | Length (in) | Shoulder (in) |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 38 | 27 | 16.5 |
| M | 40 | 28 | 17.5 |
| L | 42 | 29 | 18.5 |
| XL | 44 | 30 | 19.5 |
| XXL | 46 | 31 | 20.5 |
| 3XL | 48 | 32 | 21.5 |
How does boys' sizing work?
Boys' clothing is sized by age band, with the chest measurement printed beside it. Age is only a starting point — children of the same age vary enormously — so check the chest figure against a t-shirt that currently fits him.
If he is between bands or growing quickly, take the larger one. A sleeve that is a little long for a season is a far smaller problem than a shirt he outgrows in two months.
| Age | Chest (in) | Length (in) |
|---|---|---|
| 2–3 Years | 22–23 | 15–16 |
| 4–5 Years | 24–25 | 17–18 |
| 6–7 Years | 26–27 | 19–20 |
| 8–9 Years | 28–29 | 21–22 |
| 10–11 Years | 30–31 | 23–24 |
| 12–13 Years | 32–33 | 25–26 |
| 14–16 Years | 34–36 | 26–27 |
How are jeans and trousers sized?
By waist in inches, with the inseam stated separately on the product page so you know the leg length before it arrives. Measure around your natural waist over a shirt, not over a belt and not over the hips. If your usual jeans sit lower than the natural waist, measure the waistband of those jeans flat and double it instead — that is the figure to match. Some styles are also offered as waist×inseam pairs such as 32×34; where they are, both numbers appear as selectable options above the buy button.
Why does one product show fewer sizes than another?
Because the sizes shown are the sizes that specific garment is actually made and stocked in, read from its own specification rather than filled in from a template. If a shirt is offered only in M and L, that is genuinely all there is. When a size sells out it stops being offered rather than being sold and cancelled later.
What if the fit is still wrong when it arrives?
Exchange it. You have seven days from delivery, the garment needs to be unworn with its tags on, and we collect from your address and send the replacement size at no cost to you. Details are on the returns page.
Fabric & care
How should I wash these clothes?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with like colours and a mild detergent. No bleach. Do not tumble-dry — heat is what shrinks cotton, cracks prints and hardens elastane. Line-dry in shade, because direct sun fades dark dyes faster than washing does. Iron on medium, avoiding any printed or embroidered panel. The care label in the garment always takes precedence over this general advice.
Will it shrink?
Cotton garments are pre-shrunk, so expect no more than about 2–3% movement in the first two washes, which is within normal tolerance and is already allowed for in the measurements we publish. Shrinkage beyond that is almost always heat: hot water or a tumble dryer. Wash cold and line-dry and the garment will hold the size you bought.
Will dark colours bleed?
Deep indigo denim and heavily dyed dark cottons can release a little surplus dye in the first wash or two — that is the dye that never bonded, not a fault. Wash them separately the first couple of times, cold and inside out. Never leave a dark garment sitting wet in a pile with lighter ones, which is how transfer actually happens.
How should I look after denim?
Wash it as rarely as you can bear, cold and inside out, and line-dry it. Raw denim in particular is meant to fade with wear rather than with washing, and every hot wash flattens the character it is developing. Air it between wears instead. For a spill, spot-clean rather than washing the whole pair.
What is the fabric made of?
The exact composition is listed on every product page under Product details — combed cotton for jersey, cotton or a cotton blend for shirting, twelve-ounce cotton denim for jeans, and wool-blend for the tailored outerwear. Where elastane is present for stretch it is stated with its percentage, because it changes how the garment should be washed.
What if a seam gives way or a garment is faulty?
Tell us. A manufacturing defect — a failed seam, a broken zip, a fault in the fabric — is our problem regardless of the seven-day window, and normal fair wear over time is not. Email photographs with your order reference and we will replace it or refund it.
Bulk & uniform orders
Do you supply schools, companies and teams?
Yes. We handle school uniform runs, corporate and staff clothing, event and team t-shirts, and stockist orders. Send the garment, the size breakdown and the quantity to support@xlvero.com and we will come back with bulk pricing, lead times and a GST invoice raised in your organisation’s name against your GSTIN.
What is the minimum bulk order?
Bulk pricing generally starts at 25 pieces of a single style, or a mixed order of comparable value. Below that the ordinary website price applies — and with shipping free on every order, it is frequently the better deal anyway.
Can you match colour across a repeat order?
Dye lots vary slightly between production batches, which shows up most on dark and heavily saturated colours. For a uniform order, tell us the full quantity up front and we will reserve it from a single batch so the whole group matches. Batch-reserved stock is normally held for 90 days.
Do you do printing, embroidery or custom labels?
For volume orders we can arrange logo printing or embroidery and custom neck labelling through our production partners, and pack per size or per department for easy distribution. We do not manufacture bespoke patterns from scratch. Send us your requirement and we will tell you plainly whether it is something we can do.
How do sizes work for a group order?
Send the size breakdown you want and we will supply against it. If you are unsure how a group will size, we can send a small sample set of garments in a range of sizes to try on before the main run is confirmed — sample cost is credited against the final order.
